Mr. Meyer is the founder and CEO of WorkSmart MD, Inc. For the past twelve years he has been an innovator in health care information technology. His experience includes development of a medical practice management software system, running medical billing departments, building network data centers, developing specialized HIPAA software for the health care industry, and he has written and published a book for Prentice Hall on HIPAA privacy and security. While his roots are in technology his passion has been helping doctors sort through the administrative and regulatory hurdles that reduce revenue and efficiency. As a technology expert with real world health care experience Mr. Meyer helps medical offices run more efficiently and collect more of their money, faster. Day-to-day Mr. Meyer leads the WorkSmart MD team towards innovation and growth.

Message from the CEO

10 years ago I was a young entrepenuer with the auspicious goal of revolutionizing the business of medicine. When I was a boy, like many, I dreamed of becoming a doctor and helping people. This drive took a strange, fortuitous turn in my youth. Providing technology services to physicians I learned quickly that the business of medicine could, and often does, interfere with the quality of medicine if not treated properly. Once diagnosed, I realized the greatest impact I could have on the lives of patients was to improve the business of medicine for doctors. I was in a very small group of young business leaders concerned with the administrative burdens facing modern medicine and this drew early attention to WorkSmartMD.

I’ve always been drawn to technology. Amongst the seemingly endless list of things made possible by technology is the ability to improve outcomes, accuracy and effectiveness while reducing cost and work. In no field can this be more appreciated than medicine, an industry so fundamentally important to our human condition that we hesitate to belittle its nature by referring to it as one. In my heart I firmly believe that health information technology can improve the quality of care and increase access for those that are in need. I have made it my life's mission to "shake up” our industry and improve the quality of health care through technology.

It has never been more difficult to be a physician. Reimbursements are shrinking in a business environment where costs continue to climb. Since the earliest days, WorkSmart MD’s team has helped countless practices achieve maximum profitability and efficiency. Today our “Offsite Practice Support” services help doctors successfully use Electronic Health Records and optimize revenue on five fronts; higher collections, ticket amounts, contract reimbursements, special incentives and even volume.

Mr. Meyer has 37-years of operational and management experience. He oversees the WorkSmart MD day-to-day operations and ensures that we are providing the highest quality of service to each of our customers. He holds a BS in Finance & Accounting from the University of Florida. His in depth knowledge of medical billing combined with his years of management experience ensure that we exceed client expectations every time.

Mr. VanderVoort joined our team in 2009 upon the conclusion of a career in finance with AG Edwards & Sons of St. Louis, MO. Since joining our ranks, Mr. VanderVoort has developed and implemented several multi-channel programs to enhance our client base and assist WorkSmart MD in providing the highest quality service possible. Leveraging our strengths in product superiority, service excellence and operational transparency, he continues to develop a scalable marketing program to achieve consistent and manageable growth.

Mr. Frederick became part of the WorkSmart MD team in February of 2010, after a successful career in commercial real estate brokerage where he received national recognition for his outstanding accomplishments. With a strong background in marketing great products and services and growing multi-million dollar businesses Mr. Frederick is a perfect fit for WorkSmart MD. Since joining us, Mr. Frederick has headed new marketing campaigns with a focus on developing high level partnerships. As Director of Business Development he continues to utilize his high energy networking skills. His devotion to excellence is aimed squarely at the growth of WorkSmartMD, helping to make us a thought leader in our industry.

Mr. Babazadeh joined our team in 2010 in efforts to support the Atlanta market. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and has extensive sales and management experience in the financial services and telecom industries. As Director of Sales, Mr. Babazadeh designs and recommends sales programs and sets short and long-term sales strategies. Mr. Babazadeh grew up in Daytona Beach, FL and has been residing in Atlanta, GA for the past 8 years.

Ms Strawser serves as our director of client services. Her responsibilities ensure coordinating with each client to ensure implementations are done properly and transition is a painless process. Ms. Strawser has 9 years of medical billing and office management experience. She joined the billing department and within 4 years Ms. Strawser worked her way up the ranks to billing manager where she was responsible for managing the billing and accounts receivable for 4 locations. Her commitment to leaving no money on the table for her physicians and her winning personality made her the top candidate for client outreach.

Technology is a great thing but only when it works properly. Mr. Meyer leads the WorkSmart MD IT and technology initiatives. He is a graduate of the Daytona Beach Advanced Technology College and holds multiple Microsoft Certifications. His experience in data integration, network infrastructure, and systems engineering help ensure that each client has the appropriate technology that integrates seamlessly into their operations. Mr. Meyer ensures that our clients and the WorkSmart MD team have no IT problems.
